Job Summary:
Oversee the daily operations of the paint and bagging area. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely flow of goods while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The supervisor will manage a team, monitor performance, collaborate with other departments, and ensure that all logistics operations align with company goals.
Hours: Mon - Thurs 4pm - 3am / Fri 2pm - 10pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the production & bagging teams, ensuring goals are met.
- Assess team performance and identify areas for training and development.
- Evaluate logistics providers, make recommendations for improvement, and negotiate contracts as needed.
- Oversee scheduling to ensure timely deliveries and on-time production.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policies and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to address any shortages and meet production demands.
- Maintain a focus on continuous improvement to enhance logistics and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the safety of team members by adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and delegate responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping documentation and terminology.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Forklift experience and ability to safely lift and move up to 70 lbs.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation and inventory management.
Education and Experience:
- 2-4 years of prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or logistics.
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
