Job Description:
The Application Engineers (AE’s) will work directly with the outside sales team to provide technical support with engineering selections, estimating and submittals. They will also have a shared responsibility of answering the phones.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Required to be knowledgeable about all the equipment we represent. Will be required to understand how to select, apply, estimate and submit on equipment.
- Build presentations for our customers as well as work with the team to provide marketing information for Webinars, company events and meetings.
- In order to gain knowledge, training sessions will be provided by factories and by internal employees.
- Attend sales meeting and project meetings.
- Attend engineering presentations.
- From time to time, you will be required to participate in promotional campaigns, marketing events, manufacturer’s initiatives, and sales training.
- Assist with non-assigned House Accounts. Duties shall include selecting equipment, estimating, submitting and preparing items for release for call in / non-assigned house accounts.
- Assist with answering phones.
Experience and Requirements:
- Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles as it relates to HVAC Systems.
- Engineering degree or technical background preferred.
- Strong work ethic and reliability as you will be counted on to be part of a team.
- Social. Able to verbally communicate well in person and over the phone.
- Computer skills with competency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe PDF.
- Good with numbers and spread sheets.
- Energetic and brings enthusiasm to the workplace.
