POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for assisting physicians with basic patient care and providing unparalleled customer service to patients while adhering to established protocols, processes and volume without ever compromising quality.Â
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Basic rooming, along with creating surgery orders & x-ray ordersÂ
- Phreesia/MIPS InputÂ
- Maintain supplies, equipment, prepare and clean exam/procedure rooms, stocking and sterilizing instruments ensuring patient rooms are stocked, cleaned, and presentableÂ
- Assist physician as needed during procedure; monitor patient in recovery areaÂ
- Ensure all initial consultations, pertinent notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are entered in the patient’s file and available to the physician prior to patient arrivalÂ
- Provide patient education with regards to office policies, medications, management of pain/injury/disease, home treatments and special diets using appropriate medical terminology as directed by the physicianÂ
- Ensure all consent forms are completed, signed and filedÂ
- Respond to patient / physician / pharmacy calls calls/messages and assist with their needsÂ
- Assist front desk with rescheduling patientsÂ
- OSHA sign off listsÂ
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Â
- Minimum of 2 years working as a medical assistant preferred
- Strong focus on patient quality and customer serviceÂ
- Excellent follow through to see tasks to completionÂ
- Strong and clear written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Possesses a high degree of self-motivation and produces high quality work with minimal supervisionÂ
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Â
- Experience with AllscriptsÂ

- Hours of business are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work early, late and long hours, as needed, to meet the essential functions of the jobÂ
