What you will do:

 

  • Design metal roof layouts for commercial and residential projects as a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist.
  • Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation.
  • Convert sketches, concepts, field measurements, and engineering notes into accurate digital drawings.
  • Prepare layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure design accuracy.
  • Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Update drawings as project requirements and customer needs evolve.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, production teams, and other stakeholders to support successful project execution.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the design process.
  • Work primarily in an office environment with occasional local travel as needed.

What you will bring:

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience creating technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize proprietary CAD software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
