Methodist Home for Children is seeking a Program Specialist to lead and support our unique Farm Transitional Living Program, where youth build life skills, vocational confidence, and brighter futures in a structured, farm-like residential setting. This role blends case management, supervision, and hands-on leadership in a mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do
Case Management & Youth Development
Coordinate child and family team meetings and individualized service plans
Support youth in education, vocational training, and employment opportunities
Develop and monitor transition and aftercare plans (up to 6 months post-placement)
Connect youth to mentors, apprenticeships, and community resources
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and case records
Program & Staff Leadership
Provide on-site supervision of residential staff and program operations
Oversee budgets, scheduling, property management, and daily operations
Ensure delivery of direct treatment services consistent with agency standards
Provide 24-hour on-call/back-up support as needed
Foster a structured, family-style home environment
Community & Operational Engagement
Build relationships with families, service providers, volunteers, and neighbors
Transport youth to appointments, school, court, and community activities
Maintain compliance with contractual and accreditation standards
Participate in quality improvement and staff development initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field (required)
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with teens; residential or at-risk youth experience preferred
Supervisory or program leadership experienceÂ
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
Work Environment
This is a hands-on leadership role in a dynamic residential and farm setting. You must be comfortable with:

Outdoor and vocational activities
Property oversight and daily operations
