This temporary position is located in Goldsboro - Wayne County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 -$19.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 400 Old Smithfield Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The CNA is primarily responsible for providing direct care and person centered supports to residents with complex physical, intellectual, medical, and behavioral needs. CNA's focus on providing services to enhance the quality of life of their residents in a caring home environment with dignity and respect, offering choices and options to support individuality. In the Nursing Facility, duties include completing Nursing Assistant assignments while maintaining optimal gross/fine motor skills, ensuring activities of daily living (mealtime, dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.) while supporting the highest level of practicable independence. This position is responsible for ensuring all health and safety needs are met for assigned residents per regulatory guidelines. CNAs are responsible for ensuring confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) in all aspects of communication. CNA's work a schedule that includes weekends, holidays, mandatory reporting during inclement weather, due to the facility providing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide schedule options to include: 8-hour Day, Evening, and Night; 12-Hour Day and Night schedules all part-time up to 29 hours per week.
Shift premiums are applied as follows:
Day Shift - Saturday and Sunday 5%
Evening Shift - Monday-Friday 10%
Saturday and Sunday 15%
Night Shift - Monday-Thursday 10%
Friday-Sunday 15%
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) required upon employment. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Management Preferences:
- Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant and listed in good standings with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in nursing care techniques.
- Ability to communicate observations and recommendations effectively and accurately in written and verbal form.
- Ability to communicate in a respectful manner to residents, family/guardians, co-workers, and others.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team while maintaining a professional, pleasant demeanor in work relationships.
- Ability to learn behavior management interventions and support counseling relationships.

High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Condition for Continued Employment As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
