Summary Job Description
Performs the stocking, picking, packing and shipment staging of Cold Chain product orders within the Distribution Center. Ensure all procedures, regulations and security requirements are met. Responsible for the proper use and conditioning of packaging materials, along with the activation and proper placement of temperature monitors.Â
Duties/Responsibilities:
As directed by the Cold Chain Supervisor, the Cold Chain Associate will perform functions including, but not limited to, the following: Â
- Assist in the monitoring of temperatures throughout Cold Room and Freezer units to ensure compliance to set requirements.
- Ensure the correct supply inventory is on hand to maintain an uninterrupted process of orders.
- Ensure proper conditioning of Cold Chain packaging meets Vendor and Compliance requirements.
- Audit the storage of products ensuring safety and compliance to established requirements.
- Follow instructions and guidelines for the proper use and construction of Cold Chain packaging materials.
- Pick, pack, verify and stage orders per proper procedures.
- Ensure temperature tracking devices are validated, configured to meet shipment duration requirements and are placed properly in shipments.
- Provide input to the Operations Manager about daily issues that could present potential risks to the Cold Chain process.
- Assist in the Cycle Counting of inventory.
- Adhere to company-wide, and departmental, policies and procedures.
- Provide backup assistance to other outbound areas when required.
- Conduct pre-operation inspection of motorized equipment, as assigned.
- Assist in general housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- 2+ Years’ warehouse experience (Pharmaceutical Cold Chain preferred).
- Understanding of Cold Chain packaging and associated materials a plus.
- independently.
- Forklift or other motorized moving equipment experience
- Valid California driver’s license.Â
- Job, at times, requires in excess of 40 hours per week and includes weekend work when necessary to meet production schedulesÂ
- Computer literate (MS Windows applications)Â
- Experience with ERP or WMS software systems.Â
Physical Demands:Â
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours in a day.
- Ability to lift to 35 lbs.
- Able to work in excess of 40 hours in a week, during emergency situations
- Must pass (clear) toxicology screening.
