Chemical Cleaning Operator

Summary/Objective:

The Chemical Cleaning Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, and handling chemicals.

Responsibilities:

May include, but are not limited to, the following

• Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as low-pressure, high-volume pumps and circulators in accordance with operational, training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings.
• Install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, chemical circulators, and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen. (Including randoms)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time
• Valid driver’s license or identification card
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.

Preferred Qualifications:

• General labor experience is a plus.
• Experience in chemical cleaning chemistry is a plus
• CDL is a plus (Class A preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of regularly speaking and hearing while utilizing hands to control or manipulate objects.
• Must be capable of seeing close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be willing and capable of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling or reaching above the shoulders. 
• Must be willing and physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Must be willing and capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long period of time.
• Must be able to make general decisions requiring judgement and perform activities requiring sustained concentration.
• Must be able to work extended hours and rotational schedules.
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time in extreme temperature environments and at high elevation.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
