SUMMARY:
Provides clerical support to assigned department in the areas of patient registration, record preparation and maintenance, release of patient information and appointments scheduling, and data entry of client information into Electronic Health Records (EHR) at our Gonzales Call Center location.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greets patients in a courteous manner and provides assistance, in a confidential manner, as needed to correctly complete all necessary registration and medical forms;
• Responsible for correctly entering patient data to HealthPro System according to medical record procedure and automated accounts receivable system;
• Responsible for submitting end of day deposits;
• Monitors and maintains adequate supply inventory;
• Provides eligibility screening and determination of Federal/State programs based on program requirements;
• Collects and processes payments from clients for rendered services;
• Reconciles data from journal analysis report to computer printout and balances cash drawer at end of day;
• Obtains and maintains client eligibility and screening documentation;
• Attends meetings on site and out of town as required;
• Submits agency forms and documentation in a timely manner. (Improvement activities, response to memorandums/emails, travel reconciliation, supply requests, leave requests, and monthly in-service);
• Actively participates in agency performance improvement initiatives such as chronic care management and utilizes the approved methodology such as PDSA;
• Positively contributes to staff morale and corporate culture;
• Ensures that work assignments and information gathered from day to day is not shared with anyone and protects all patient and agency information. Is knowledgeable of and maintains HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality;
• Carries out other duties as assigned and supports the agencies Mission, Vision and Values Statement.
