Job Summary:

As a Shipyard Welding/Mechanic Trainee, you will play a crucial role in our shipyard operations, supporting the repair and maintenance of our marine vessels and barges. This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a hands-on environment under the guidance of experienced employees to continue to develop your skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Assist welders and mechanics in daily operations, including preparing materials, tools, and equipment.

Perform routine maintenance and repair on our marine vessels including maintenance on diesel engines.

Support the team in adhering to safety and quality standards in all operations.

Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Help in the set-up and breakdown of project sites, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

 


Requirements

Requirements:

Technical/vocational training in welding or mechanics is a plus.

Basic understanding of welding and mechanical principles.

Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
