Job Details

General Summary:

Provides the tools and skills necessary to implement training programs for Supply Chain employees. Assists employees with career development in partnership with learning operations, human resources and operations partners. Supports orientation, training processes and continuous development resources for new Supply Chain employees, as necessary.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage partnerships with subject matter experts to ensure the creation and delivery of accurate and relevant training content, fostering the professional growth and development of Supply Chain employees. 40%
  • Responsible for fostering and maintaining strong leader partnerships and relationships with partners (HR, DC Operations, Fleet Operations) to ensure the provision of tailored training and development content, aimed at enhancing safety, quality and productivity. 20%
  • Facilitate virtual, classroom, and facility training sessions to ensure efficient and effective learning outcomes for Supply Chain employees, with a focus on delivering high-quality operations and leadership training and development content tailored to individual and organizational needs. 20%
  • Collaborate closely with centralized training and development team members to develop and design comprehensive training materials, ensuring Supply Chain employees receive optimal operations and leadership development content to enhance their skills and drive improved performance in line with Dollar General Corporation's objectives. 10%
  • Implements new processes, new content and new technology training in conjunction with our continuous improvement process. 10%

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Thorough working knowledge of Dollar General policies and processes.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Ability to apply business acumen and think strategically
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft applications
  • Presentation/group facilitation skills

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • 5 years experience in employee training and development or in a human resources position with an employee development emphasis preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training, Education, Human Resources or related field; or
  • Equivalent education/experience
  • Up to 75% Supply Chain travel may be required
