BIM/VDC Field Engineer – MEP & Underground Utilities

Green Tanner Industrial is seeking a BIM/VDC Field Engineer with strong experience in MEP coordination, construction modeling, and field-ready deliverables for mission critical data center projects. This role will support construction operations by coordinating BIM models, preparing layout information, assisting with underground utility coordination, and developing accurate field deliverables for survey and construction teams. The ideal candidate should have practical experience with Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and ACC workflows, specifically related to MEP systems and underground infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models related to MEP and underground utility systems
• Coordinate construction models with field operations and subcontractors
• Prepare field-ready layout deliverables and CSV point files
• Review and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, and coordinated BIM models
• Assist with clash detection and constructability reviews
• Support field teams with layout verification and as-built coordination
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, and VDC teams during construction activities
• Maintain organized BIM documentation within ACC platforms
• Assist with model updates based on approved RFIs and field conditions
• Support underground duct bank and utility coordination efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
• Strong experience with Civil 3D
• Experience modeling and coordinating MEP systems
• Familiarity with Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Understanding of underground utility coordination and construction workflows
• Experience with construction layout and survey workflows preferred
• Knowledge of mission critical/data center construction preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings
• Experience working with field teams and construction operations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are highly preferred, but not required
• Must have OSHA 10 in the construction industry
