Role Summary

Wee Care Corp is seeking Direct Support Providers in Surprise, AZ to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in strengthening independence, daily routines, and personal goals. This position exists to provide safe, respectful, evidence-based support that builds confidence and promotes meaningful progress.

Key responsibilities include delivering hands-on support aligned to individualized plans, encouraging empowerment and self-esteem, reinforcing skill development and goal follow-through, and maintaining clear, customer-focused communication with a consistent focus on safety.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Genuine motivation to support individuals with developmental disabilities
- Advocacy mindset that supports empowerment and self-esteem
- Familiarity with developmental disabilities
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Article 9 training (or willingness to obtain)
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Most shifts take place after school hours—afternoons, evenings, and weekends. You’ll start by reviewing the plan for the day and connecting with the individual in a calm, respectful way. The pace is steady and relationship-driven, with time spent supporting routines, offering structure, and adjusting your approach based on what is working in the moment. Throughout the shift, you’ll keep communication straightforward and professional, document key notes as needed, and stay alert to safety at all times. Progress often shows up in small, meaningful wins over time—stronger habits, increased confidence, and greater trust.
