Legal Assistant-Personal Injury

 

Overview

Fast-paced, small, North Scottsdale wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury law firm seeking an experienced legal assistant. Must have excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated and able to multitask needing little supervision. Please do not apply unless you have experience working in personal injury law for 2 years. Those without that experience will not be considered. Medical malpractice experience is a plus but not required.

 

As a Personal Injury Legal Assistant, you will be integral to supporting our legal team in managing cases and ensuring efficient operations within the law office. Your core skills in case management and detailed document review will be essential in preparing for litigation and maintaining organized files. Strong communication and organizational skills are vital as you will interact with Law offices and clients. You will assist in research and gathering necessary information. Additionally, your proficiency in legal administrative tasks and computer skills will enhance our team's effectiveness in delivering exceptional legal services.             Essential Skills & Functions:

·      Case Management/File Organization

·      Detailed Document Review and Information Gathering Skill, Research, Sherardizing

·      Strong Communication & Grammer Skills (Verbal & Written)

·      Calendaring

·      Medical Records Chronology

·      Deposition Summaries, Small Pleadings (subpoenas, deposition noticing, notice of site inspection)

·      Discovery Work (interrogatories, requests for admission, request for production)

·      Disclosure Statements

·      Motion Work (responses to Dismiss, MSJ and MIL, etc.)

 

We have a 90-day probation period. Continued employment will be based on attitude, skills, abilities, and a willingness to adapt to a busy and dynamic work environment. 

 

Pay: Salary ranges from $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year-DOE
