This position serves as a key point of contact for patients and insurance companies and is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a high-volume, phone-based environment, as the role involves being on the phone the majority of the day. The Patient Financial Services Representative is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by answering patient and payer inquiries, resolving billing and account-related issues, processing payments, and supporting a positive financial experience for our patients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate patient billing and insurance questions with professionalism and empathy. Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday No nights or weekends Paid holidays Compensation & Benefits In addition to a rewarding career, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive market pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Generous 401(k) match up to 5% Paid time off and paid holidays Retirement plan options And more Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and messages in a courteous, professional, and timely manner Serve as the first point of contact for patient and insurance-related financial inquiries Assist patients with questions related to billing statements, balances, payment options, and account concerns Process payments and establish payment plans in accordance with company guidelines Explain billing statements, charges, and insurance-related balances clearly and accurately Review and update patient insurance information in the appropriate systems Identify and help resolve insurance claim issues in collaboration with the billing team Document all interactions, account updates, and follow-up actions in the appropriate electronic systems Resolve patient concerns or escalate more complex issues to the appropriate department as needed Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations Support special projects and additional departmental tasks as assigned Why Join Gastro Care Partners?
