Your Mission:
The Quality Inspection Team Lead assists and supports the Quality Supervisor/Manager by directing and guiding a team of Quality Technicians who perform dimensional and visual inspections. This role focuses on coordinating inspection tasks based on production priorities, supporting quality standards, and fostering a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.Â
Explore the Depth of the Role:
- Assist in directing and coordinating team members to complete dimensional inspection tasks according to priority actions. Â
- Assist with the implementation, interpretation, and maintenance of ISO9001 quality standards. Â
- Participate in internal audits as needed, supporting the supervisor/manager. Â
- Assist team members in verifying measurements and product conformity using calipers, tape measures, gauges, and other basic tools. Â
- Assist in maintaining accurate inspection documentation and logs. Â
- Assist in pre-shift briefings with the team on safety, inspection goals, and priorities. Â
- Deliver and receive constructive feedback to support continuous improvement of the team. Â
- Promote a culture of mentoring, development, and professional behavior within the team. Â
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized work areas and promoting 5S practices. Â
- Support personal and team safety by ensuring proper use of PPE and awareness of machine operation and hazards. Â
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and cross-functional groups. Â
- Assist in other duties as assigned to support the Quality Supervisor/Manager and department objectives.
Requirements
Mission Readiness:
- High school diploma or GED required.Â
- Completion of a quality program, trade school, or equivalent preferred. Â
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing. Â
- Ability to read blueprints and use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools. Â
- Familiarity with Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred. Â
- Experience with PC-based tools (Word, Excel, basic documentation). Â
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspections.Â
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to assist and guide team members and collaborate with other departments.
- Ability to coach and mentor technicians under the guidance of the supervisor/manager. Â

- Rare but may occur
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach/pull/push with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel regularly.
- May lift or carry 50lbs. Weights exceeding 50lbs will require mechanical means to maneuver.
