Process Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in heavy manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or technical field
  • Strong technical skills 
  • Proficient level of computer knowledge 
  • Health, safety and environmentally focused
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 This individual will plan, lead, and execute tests designed to improve production, profitability, reduce environmental impact and improve safety. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Monitor and analyze process data and recommend solutions to process problems
  • Obtain an understanding of the current feed/voltage computer operating system
  • Evaluate materials and develop an understanding of required tools for measurements while taking samples/measurements
  • Forecast process parameters and calculations for strategic planning purposes 
  • Develop and maintain computer databases for both routine analysis reporting and resolution of periodic process problems
  • Maintain broad-based knowledge of technical developments within the industry for data collection and training personnel
  • Lead/execute trials and special projects (i.e., Process improvements, Lean projects, six sigma, and technology development)
