Job DetailsJob Location: Gordon Countryside Care - Gordon, NE 69343POSITION SUMMARY  The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide carries out all cleaning and laundry duties as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner to uphold a sanitary facility for residents.  CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES  Cleans and services resident rooms, offices, hallways, dining room, activity room, and other ancillary areas. Ensures that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to. Maintains a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene. Ensures that all cleaning and laundry equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition, any defects reported to the department supervisor. Collects, sorts, and weighs soiled laundry, linen, clothing, etc. and places items in the appropriate containers or assigned areas. Coordinates daily laundry services in collaboration with nursing services when performing routine assignments. Practices sensitivity to the privacy and individual needs of the residents. Always adheres to infection control policies. Adheres to correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Ensures all necessary documentation is completed daily. Ensures proper supplies are maintained. Performs other duties as assigned.  SCOPE OF IMPACT  Ensures the provision of a clean environment with adequate supply of linen on hand for our residents and staff, providing high quality services and high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS  Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Experience: Previous experience working in housekeeping/laundry for a long-term care setting preferred.  Licensure and Certification: None Required  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   Knowledge of: Cleaning/laundry products Basic cleaning/laundry procedures Relationship of sanitation and infection control  Skills in: Effective communication: must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Identifying problems; making frequent decisions regarding method of performance  Ability to: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Generate, read, interpret. Work cooperatively to maintain good working relationships. Choose and mix proper cleaning solutions.  Â
