POSITION SUMMARY
Provides leadership, coaching, and training to the assigned branch team to ensure efficient and effective sales and service interactions with members. Responsible for reinforcing the culture within the branch, coaching for improved performance, and supporting the branch’s growth goals. Responsible for overseeing office operations, ensuring team accountability to policies and procedures, and developing and leading sales in the acquisition and retention of member relationships.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional relationships with members.
- Communicate with members to recognize cross-selling opportunities, including education and referral of Everence products and services that meet our member’s needs.
- Oversee the onboarding of new and existing members and resolve or escalate issues referred by the office team.
- Assist with the implementation of Everence’s strategic business plan, marketing initiatives, and sales practices.
- Conduct in-person and outbound business development calls for acquisition and retention of members.Â
- Ensure that members' requests and questions are promptly and courteously resolved.
- Ensure that the Credit Union's quality and professional reputation is projected and maintained.
- Assume responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of Branch operations.
- Supervise work scheduling and workflow of daily operations.
- Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure Branch security. Open and close the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
- Supervise and assist with member services functions, ensuring an efficient member experience.Â
- Implement changes to Credit Union policy and procedures within the Branch.
- Effectively supervise Branch staff, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide leadership to the office team by creating a positive work environment, coaching, and facilitating team meetings/huddles.Â
- Set and communicate goals in a timely and effective manner.Â
- Directly supervise all branch MSRs. Ensure that high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained. Determine work methods and flow through assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing tasks.
- Conduct regular coaching to improve the team’s sales and referral skills. Inspect member interactions, hold meetings to inform and train. Hold team accountable for proactive member conversations that support the marketing plan.Â
- Ensure that personnel are effectively and optimally used. Supervise work scheduling and workflow of daily operations. Help determine appropriate staffing levels for proper utilization of human resources.
- Track individual progress and conduct regular performance reviews on each employee. Establish and implement corrective actions as needed. Recommend promotions for employees as appropriate.
- Assume responsibility for effectively seeking new lending opportunities; initiating, reviewing, processing, and coordinating loan functions.
- Act as the branch’s primary point of contact for consumer lending and real estate lending opportunities.
- Actively seek new lending opportunities through existing membership base, referrals, community relationships, and small business relationships.
- Â Assist members with the loan, deposit, or transactional application process in person, on the phone, or electronically to ensure completeness of information. Approve loans within limits of authority and notify applicants of loan decisions. Request additional information if required.
- Coordinate and process loan closings. Ensure each loan is promptly and properly prepared, documented, processed, approved, and disbursed.
- Ensure lending operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and are legally compliant. Ensure loan requests are properly documented.
- Perform collections efforts in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Assume responsibility for related functions as required or assigned.
- Fill in and perform duties in Branch positions as needed to ensure optimal member service at all times.
- Attend assigned training sessions and stay current on new operational procedures.
 QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Â
College graduate or experience in a managerial role, preferably as a branch manager in a financial institution
Experience:Â
One year minimum of management experience and one year lending experience required
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and public relations skills
- Thorough understanding of lending and deposit programs, policies and procedures, as well as related legal requirements
- Solid math and strong technology/computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to analyze accounts and loan requests

- Ability to assist others and work as part of team
