Alternative Education Program

If you’re passionate about helping students re-engage with learning, build confidence, and find their path forward, this role offers the chance to make a real impact every day. Our Alternative Education Program is seeking a steady, studentcentered paraprofessional who can support instruction, maintain a positive classroom environment, and work closely with teachers to help students succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Support classroom instruction under the direction of licensed teaching staff

• Provide oneonone and smallgroup academic assistance

• Help maintain a structured, supportive, and traumainformed learning environment

• Assist with behavior support, redirection, and relationshipbuilding

• Supervise students during transitions, breaks, and other noninstructional times

• Support documentation, attendance, and basic administrative tasks

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs

What You Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent (required)

• Active Indiana Substitute Teacher License or the ability to obtain one (preferred)

• Strong communication, patience, and relationshipbuilding skills

• Ability to remain calm, consistent, and supportive with students who may struggle in traditional settings

• A teamoriented mindset and willingness to learn new strategies

Additional Premium Qualification

• Actively enrolled in an education degree program, or

• Pursuing a Transition to Teaching pathway
