Assistant Property Manager

As an Assistant Property Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the community while delivering exceptional service to residents and owners. Working closely with the Property Manager, you'll help oversee leasing, resident relations, financial administration, and operational excellence to ensure a well-maintained, thriving community.

Essential Responsibilities
Resident Relations
- Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident questions and concerns.
- Assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and retention efforts.
- Help resolve resident issues while maintaining positive relationships.
Leasing & Occupancy
- Assist with leasing activities, including tours, applications, and lease preparation.
- Support occupancy goals by following up with prospects and maintaining strong resident retention.
- Ensure all leasing documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and community outreach.
Financial Administration
- Collect and post rental payments.
- Assist with delinquency management and collection efforts.
- Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare reports and administrative documentation as requested.
- Support monthly closing procedures.
Property Operations
- Conduct regular inspections of the community and amenities.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure service requests are completed promptly.
- Assist in maintaining curb appeal and overall community standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing regulations.
Team Collaboration
- Support the Property Manager in achieving operational and financial goals.
- Work collaboratively with leasing, maintenance, and regional teams.
- Help foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Serve as acting Property Manager during absences, as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- One to three years of property management, leasing, customer service, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with property management software is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
