Agriculture/Commercial Loan Officer – Minot, ND

Location: Grafton, North Dakota

Are you an experienced Ag/Commercial lender ready to own your portfolio, grow your relationships, and make a meaningful impact in your community? North Star Community Credit Union is seeking a results-driven professional to originate, manage, and supervise our commercial loan portfolio while shaping agricultural lending strategy in the Grafton region.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3–5 years of commercial or agricultural lending experience
  • Expertise in North Dakota agricultural markets
  • Proven success with large-scale crop and livestock producers, agribusiness operations, or complex farm financing structures
  • Experience managing significant agricultural loan portfolios in rural financial institutions
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to structure creative, tailored lending solutions
  • Relationship-focused, results-driven, autonomous, and ready to lead
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, Manage, and Supervise Loans: Take ownership of North Star’s commercial loan portfolio, maintaining and improving asset quality while developing new and existing business relationships
  • Business Development: Grow your portfolio by cultivating high-value agricultural and commercial clients in the Minot area
  • Financial Analysis & Structuring: Review business financials, assess risk, and structure loans that maximize client success and portfolio performance
  • Portfolio Oversight & Compliance: Monitor assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
  • Member & Community Engagement: Provide strategic guidance to members and represent North Star in industry and local events to strengthen relationships and lending opportunities
