An innovative company with proven experience in creating exciting new products that redefine what is possible in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.   Position Opportunity   The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of all inventory transactions within the facility.  In addition, the Inventory Control Specialist will play a key role in strengthening processes across the organization. This role will be responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies, improving workflows, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity within Sage 100 ERP. The role supports operational efficiency by overseeing inventory adjustments, validating inbound receipts, managing cycle counts, coordinating inventory transfers, reconciling CHEP pallets, and controlling hold inventory.    Daily Responsibilities:  Review and validate all inbound receipts against purchase orders; investigate and resolve any discrepancies  Monitor inventory reports and perform necessary inventory adjustments with proper documentation and approvals  Execute scheduled cycle counts and reconcile variances in a timely manner  Validate inventory transactions (receipts, moves, picks, shipments) for accuracy and compliance  Process and verify inventory transfers across warehouse, production, and external sites  Track and reconcile CHEP pallet movements, identifying and resolving imbalances  Maintain and oversee hold inventory by ensuring accurate system status, proper physical segregation, and complete documentation  Partner with Receiving, Warehouse, Quality, and Transportation teams to resolve inventory-related issues  Conduct root cause analysis on inventory variances and execute corrective measures  Inventory Accuracy & Adjustments  Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage locations   Investigate discrepancies and perform inventory adjustments with proper documentation and approvals   Analyze trends in inventory variances and recommend corrective actions   Receiving Validation  Validate inbound shipments against purchase orders and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs)   Ensure proper documentation, counts, and product condition upon receipt   Partner with receiving and quality teams to resolve discrepancies or damages     Cycle Counting  Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count programs   Research and reconcile count variances in a timely manner   Identify root causes of recurring inventory issues and implement improvements     Inventory Transfers  Coordinate and process inventory movements between locations (warehouse, production, off-site storage)   Ensure all transfers are accurately recorded in the system   Audit transfer activity to ensure compliance and accuracy     CHEP Pallet Reconciliation  Track and reconcile CHEP pallet inventory and movements   Investigate discrepancies between internal records and CHEP statements   Collaborate with carriers and trading partners to resolve pallet imbalances   Maintain control of hold inventory (quality, regulatory, or customer-related holds)   Ensure proper system designation and physical segregation of held product   Coordinate release or disposition of hold inventory with Quality and Operations teams    Hold Inventory Management  Qualifications  Education/Training/Certifications:   High school diploma or equivalent required   Additional education in supply chain, logistics, or systems preferred  Knowledge/Skills Experience:   Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or production entry   Working knowledge of Scanco, Sage (Sage100 preferred), and handheld scanning devices   Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail   Ability to troubleshoot system issues and support users across multiple shifts   Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills   Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and audit requirements  Generate and review daily inventory reports and communicate key issues or risks to leadership  All other responsibilities as needed  Travel Requirements:   Must be able to travel between all company warehouses and production sites as needed  Physical Requirements:   Ability to work in a warehouse and production environment   Extended periods of standing and computer use   Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as required  Alamance Foods Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against persons because of age, race, color, creed, religion, disability, gender, ethnic or national origin, or veteran status. Alamance Foods Inc. prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities and will reasonably accommodate applicants with a disability, upon request, and will also ensure reasonable accommodation for employees with a disability.
