Job Summary:Ā
Provides emergency medical care services including general and preventive medical care for all ages ranging from newborn to geriatric, with exclusion of OB services* except in cases of emergency. Also provides med/surg department coverage.
Reports to: Chief Medical OfficerĀ
Responsibilities:Ā
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Middle Park HealthĀ
- Provides emergency medical care servicesĀ
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patientsā conditionsĀ
- Develop and implement treatments plans for patientsĀ
- Evaluation patientsā response to treatmentĀ
- Evaluate the medical history of patients, and order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and other procedures to assess the extent of a patientās illness or injuryĀ
- Develop and manage medical plans for patients, including prescription and therapy options, and propose and initiate treatment plansĀ
- Attend and participate in medical staff meetings and continuing educationĀ
- Available to see adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients following any Middle Park Health protocols, policies, or procedures.Ā
- As a physician, provides medical expertise for Middle Park Health medical-clinical teams and is expected to provide necessary education or coaching for other team members in a respectful and helpful manner.Ā
- Serves in a teaching capacity in the training and development of other healthcare personnel including students/residents rotating through Middle Park Health clinical sites.Ā
- Supports Middle Park Health in meeting HRSA requirements, designated clinical Quality Measures, and other regulatory requirements.Ā
- Adheres to safety and infection control protocols, policies, and procedures.Ā
- Performs other duties as assigned.Ā
Education/Experience/Certification:Ā
- M.D. or D.O. degree requiredĀ
- Board Certification in a primary care field or emergency medicine is required to be current and maintained ongoing, including timely completion of re-certification when indicated.Ā
- Holds and maintains without restrictions a Colorado physician license and DEA license. (Or ability to obtain prior to start date)Ā
- ACLS, PALS and ATLS certificationsĀ
- Must meet and maintain credentialing and privileging requirements of Middle Park Health.Ā
