Pay Range: Base Salary of $58,300 - $63,000 plus bonusÂ
POSITION SUMMARY: The Wedding and Event Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the client experience from initial inquiry through day-of execution including conducting tours, clearly communicating the GR experience, F&B options, upselling for each event as appropriate for client, preparing contracts for execution, building of detailed banquet event orders, providing consistent and timely communication with GR operations departments, ensuring payments are collected, assisting with day-of execution and timely follow up with client following event.  Â
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Â
- Manage inquires on multiple platforms, responding with timeliness, efficiency, professionalism, and the ability to secure the business on the books.Â
- Schedule and execute site tours for potential clients.Â
- Acts at the face of Granby Ranch for clients exhibiting professionalism, attention to detail, timely and appropriate communication both verbally and in writing as appropriate to clients, planners, and vendors with ownership of client experience throughout the process.Â
- Meet or exceed financial targets for wedding and private events.Â
- Prepare accurate contracts for management review with timeliness and efficiency; see through to full execution with both parties receiving fully executed copies.Â
- Learn and understand Granby Ranch requirements for insurance coverage required for vendors working or delivering on GR property and ensure proof of coverage is collected in advance.Â
- Prepare detailed, accurate banquet event orders.Â
- Prepare accurate and timely invoices; coordinate with accounting to ensure payments are collected.Â
- Maintain strong working relationships with all departments, ensuring detailed, timely communication as needed for each event.Â
- Management of one FT/Seasonal employee providing guidance, direction, accountability, and support.Â
- Establish strong working relationships with vendors that can deliver the high-quality experiences Granby Ranch expects. Responsible for holding vendors accountable and making changes necessary to ensure excellent wedding experiences.Â
- Greet clients and assist with the day of the wedding and event execution, ensuring excellent client experience.Â
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Assist and support operations for public events year-round and high-volume days during the winter season.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:Â
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Â
- Proficient in MS Office including regular use of excel, word, and outlook, ability to manage multiple inboxes with efficiency.Â
- Ability to learn and manage event management software programs and utilize to full extent.Â
- Must be able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor and communicate clearly with demanding clients and continue professional service in the face of conflict or high stress.Â
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Â

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:Â
- Must be at least 21 years of age.Â
- College degree or experience commensurate with essential functions required.Â
- Minimum of 5 years customer service required.Â
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with wedding execution. Â
- Previous sales experience preferred.Â
- Valid Driver’s License with MVR that meets Company insurance requirements.Â
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:Â
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.Â
- Dexterity for utilizing keyboard, verbal, visual and auditory ability for communication with others in person, on the phone, and in writing.Â
- Walk in a high mountain environment in variable weather conditions, and ability to ride chairlift.Â
- Reaching, Bending, Sitting, Standing, Carrying, Lifting, Pushing, Pulling.Â
- Fast-paced food and beverage service environment for special events and weddings.Â
- Indoor and Outdoor work depending on location of event, in a mountain environment with variable weather conditions.Â
- Flexible work schedule, availability on weekends, evenings and holidays required.Â
