Unit Description

Delaware North's operations in Grand Canyon National Park offer the opportunity to experience living and working in one of the natural wonders of the world. We provide a variety of employee housing options including shared trailers, apartments, dorm rooms, and houses, with amenities including a community center, free internet, workout, and recreational equipment. Responsibilities

  • Train new team members as assigned by management and assist with scheduling, ordering, and daily team member assignments and tasks within Housekeeping Operations 
  • Coordinate and communicate with Laundry Processing Operations while on shift, ensuring all storage areas and linen closets are stocked, neat, clean, and organized 
  • Safely operate a company vehicle, including a box truck with a lift gate, and load linen carts as scheduled 
  • Process and stock incoming supply orders, maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and stock carts and closets with necessary cleaning supplies and amenities 
  • Perform various housekeeping tasks such as stripping guest rooms, emptying trash, reporting maintenance issues, assisting guests with luggage, cleaning ceilings and walls, sorting and folding linens, and maintaining a clean work area 

Qualifications

  • Previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred
  • Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience 
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle during inclement weather
  • Working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures 
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow directions 
  • Guest service oriented with basic skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook 

Physical Requirements

  • Work in an outdoor environment, including during inclement weather 
  • Frequent walking and standing for the entire length of the shift 
  • Ability to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds
