Job DetailsJob Location: Hugos Family Marketplace - Store #8 - 32nd Ave S - Grand Forks, ND 58201Position Type: Full Time or Part TimeJob Shift: AnyJob Purpose: - As a Grocery Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the organization and cleanliness of the grocery aisles, manage inventory, and assist customers with their inquiries, contributing to the overall efficiency and customer satisfaction in our store. Key Responsibilities: - Stock, rotate, and organize products on shelves to ensure availability and accessibility for customers. - Check expiration dates and promptly remove expired or damaged items to maintain product quality and safety. - Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store, ensuring aisles and displays are neat and free of hazards. - Assist customers in locating products and provide answers to their questions, ensuring a positive shopping experience. - Conduct inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels. - Price and label products accurately to ensure clear and correct pricing information for customers. - Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve store goals and provide exceptional service. - Adhere to company policies, safety, and health regulations to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or GED - On-the-job training is standard Preferred Education: - Some coursework in retail, food service, or customer service (optional) Required Experience: - No prior retail or grocery experience required - Willingness to learn product handling, stocking procedures, and customer service Preferred Experience: - 1+ year of experience in retail, grocery, or customer service - Experience with inventory management, or merchandising Required Skills and Abilities: - Customer service and communication - Attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to stock, rotate, and organize products - Teamwork and reliability - Time management and efficiency - Physical stamina (lifting, bending, standing) - Knowledge of grocery products
