Position Summary This position will design and develop technically complex processes for finishing/coating our products; which includes process development, specification and validation, establishing and optimization of critical process parameters, design for manufacturing, equipment specification and design, as well as installation and commissioning.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and build relationships across the organization through coordination with other process, equipment, mechanical, electrical and support disciplines including program managers, manufacturing team members, and other stakeholders
- Lead product design for manufacturability (DFM) and sustainability, including analysis of product design and identification of potential risks to the process and steering product design to the lowest overall cost
- Documentation of product requirements for process and equipment specification
- Development of advanced processing technologies and equipment from concept to serial production
- Detailed line design based on process requirements, throughput and OEE calculations
- Lead process qualification, including development of acceptance testing criteria and verifying process/equipment meets requirements using statistical tools
- Management of large-scale projects for new programs, including the development of timing plans and cost breakdowns for executive approval, identification of risks to project timing driving corrective action, reporting of project status to executive team, and oversight of installation and commissioning of new manufacturing lines
- Developing line optimization, including production schedules, design, team member training, etc.
- Developing Preventative Maintenace requirements and minimizing PM time and/or frequency to increase line availability
- Capacity Management of system (E-coat, Power Coat and Pre-rack).
- Implementing Best Practices from industry
- Engaged with new work quoting activities to ensure profitability (Validation that all costs associating with the paint system are captured in the quote)
- Optimize paint rack design on new and existing paint racks to maximize density while maintaining or enhancing part quality.
- Problem solve / troubleshoot low-coats and other quality issues that arise on the paint line.

- BS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Material science or ChemicalÂ
- Minimum 5 years related experience in a manufacturing-based industry, where automated methods are utilized in the finishing/coating of consumer products
- Experience working with or developing functional/aesthetic finishing processes, including but not limited to automotive paint, powder coatings, or pre-treatment/electro-deposition coatings
- Experience with developing, installing, and commissioning high-volume process equipment and Automation systems, including but not limited to conveyors, robotics, e-coat equipment, or paint/powder equipment
