Position Summary
Our Robotic Weld team is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining robotic welding systems to ensure the efficient and accurate production of welded components. This role requires a strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and quality control.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate robotic welding machines and equipment.
- Program robotic welders to produce parts according to specifications.
- Adjust welding parameters to optimize weld quality and production efficiency.
- Prepare and position parts for welding, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Load and unload parts from welding fixtures and jigs.
- Perform fixture and tool changes as required.
- Inspect welded parts for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Perform destructive and non-destructive testing to verify weld integrity.
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Perform routine maintenance on robotic welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Work with maintenance personnel to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of welding processes, production output, and equipment maintenance.
- Report any deviations from standard procedures or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for robotic welding processes.
Qualifications
- Certification in welding technology or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience with robotic welding systems and welding processes.
- Proficiency in programming and operating robotic welding equipment.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Extensive standing, recurring bending, reaching as well as moderate to heavy lifting.
- Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention to operate machine(s).
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.

- Identify and report quality, material, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
