Requirements:
A high school diploma, the ability to pass a drug screening test, and a background check are required. Candidates must demonstrate Avionics Technician Level II mastery and have 48 months of avionics experience or equivalent. Must relocate to Grand Island, NE. We do provide a relocation package. 

Description:
Level III Avionics Technicians perform avionics installations independently or in collaboration with other technicians and are expected to lead projects from start to finish. They must possess extensive knowledge of a wide range of avionics repairs, installations, and troubleshooting tasks, and be capable of completing all assignments within the Repair Station.

Technicians in this role will participate in maintenance and installation planning and must remain aware of required parts, components, and materials for upcoming projects. They may also be responsible for sourcing equipment or supplies as needed.

Additionally, Level III Avionics Technicians must maintain a strong understanding of current and upcoming FAA regulations relevant to the avionics industry and be able to identify aircraft, systems, or components that may be affected by regulatory changes.

Competencies and Expectations:

  1. Demonstrates excellent diligence and consistent adherence to FAA and RSQCM regulations and standards.

  2. Shows the ability to identify, address, and provide effective solutions for airworthiness discrepancies.

  3. Has fully mastered Repair Station processes and can identify suspected unairworthy parts or installations.

  4. Capable of independently conducting research for projects, including STC integration and component compatibility with existing or new avionics systems.

  5. Shows sustained interest in continued OJT and professional development through AEA, FAA FAST, and other aviation training programs.

  6. Has the required experience or has previously held a Repairman’s Certificate and is eligible for immediate application as a Repairman
