Job DetailsJob Location: Grand Island, NE 68801Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 HourlyJob Shift: Night ShiftJob Purpose: To provide patient-centered care to Crisis Stabilization Unit clients.   Reports to:  CSU Co-Director                    Essential Job Results: Provide support to the CSU team members; especially to CSU Nurse to ensure clients’ needs are identified and met. Facilitate the greeting of clients, identify their needs, reassure and educate clients on the process for risk assessments, and keep client informed of next steps towards their stabilization. Answer crisis calls from community members in distress. Complete all duties on the CSU Tech Shift Report, which includes maintaining a clean and appropriate environment (cleaning rooms so new clients may be admitted, laundry, ensuring all areas of the facility are safe and clean, setting out groceries for the daily menu, etc.).   Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities: Complete and enter intake/admission forms into the electronic health record for clients admitting to the CSU for care. Process admissions and discharges of clients to ensure all personal belongings are inventoried and returned to the client. Maintain clean environment through regularly scheduled cleaning activities. Coordinate client activities of daily living and recreation. Conduct routine hourly safety checks to ensure client well-being and promptly address any concerns or incidents. Assist in answering crisis calls received from community members seeking assistance/support. Assist in triage, including answering crisis calls when needed. Attend to additional tasks and assignments given by supervisor as deemed necessary to the functioning and success of the CSU and Mid-Plains Center. Attend and actively participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.       QualificationsQualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One or more years of job-related work experience. Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).  Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is desired. Excellent organizational skills   Success Factors: Strong multi-tasking/organizational skills based on staying on task during a multitude of distractions, being able to shift gears quickly and return to initial task with ease for completion. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with a wide variety of individuals and personalities in a way that exhibits integrity. A positive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively within the values, structure, and mission of the organization. A proven ability to work with little direct supervision, while being approachable and willing to share information.
