Heirlooms Receiving Associate (Logistic Support Specialist)
40hrs/week
Become a part of Heirlooms for Hospice and HopeWest in Grand Junction as the next Heirlooms Receiving Associate. This position has the unique opportunity to become a team member at one of the most frequented stores in Mesa County. This position, as a primary focus, is responsible for physically acquiring, moving, and storing donations. This position may also assist with overall store operations when needed & is VERY physical in nature with ability to team lift up to and potentially over 100 pounds frequently.Â
OUTCOMES EXPECTED:
- Assists in loading and unloading donated merchandise from donor’s car or Heirlooms van
- Removes furniture from the sales floor
- Maintain safety and organization of warehouse, and storage units.
- Move items from warehouse /storage area to other designated areas or charities
- Will drive the Heirlooms van for donations and store supply pickups
- Work some Saturdays
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and cash register operations
- Effective communication both written and verbal
- Demonstrates empathy for the challenges faced by donors, volunteers and teammates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Experience in retail receiving, stocking and/or shipping preferred.
Experience working with volunteers preferred.

Valid Colorado driver’s license, unlimited access to reliable transportation, and adequate automobile insurance maintained throughout employment.Â
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use the hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.Â
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds individually and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with a team lift. Â Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay and Benefits:
- $18.07-$20.00/Hour
