Industrial Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports daily operations by maintaining and troubleshooting the facility’s conveyor systems, material‑handling equipment, and related warehouse infrastructure. This role combines hands‑on mechanical work with light assembly tasks, including building carts, desks, and workstation setups to support operational needs. The technician performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment issues, manages spare‑parts inventory, and partners closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe material flow throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor system, MHE, engraving equipment, pallet racking infrastructure and other operations related equipment.
  • Manage our ticketing system and handle requests from the operational team regarding issues/emergencies with the conveyor system.
  • Coordinate vendor relations regarding all operational equipment maintenance.
  • Change/replace various parts on the conveyor as needed such as conveyor rollers, O-rings, belts, motors etc.
  • Lead conveyor housekeeping tasks such as conveyor cleanliness, labeling, and organization.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock level of conveyor spare parts to avoid any shortage.
  • Propose orders of new parts which could be critical to keep in stock.
  • Perform LOTO procedures during any equipment repairs.
  • Maintain and organize stock of tools for performing repairs on the line.
  • Support engineering team with 3D printer maintenance.
  • Manage the floor visuals throughout the facility.
  • Monitor and communicate with the operation teams to report any adjustments to conveyor.
  • Participate in trainings to gain conveyor system knowledge and associate troubleshooting solutions. 
  • Assist with workstation, cart, storage assembly for operational equipment.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma required
  • 1-3 years’ work experience in a logistics or warehouse operation.
  • 1-3 years’ work experience working on conveyor systems.
  • Forklift certification would be a plus.
  • General knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a thirst for learning and finding new and innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Detail oriented and demonstrates the ability to identify solutions to resolve technical problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management.
  • Team player attitude with the ability to influence.
