Thompson Pipe Group is now looking for General Laborers who will assist with assigned responsibilities such as finishing, patching, building cages, and or operating equipment. Excellent opportunity for those Precast Concrete Pipe Manufacturing experience. 

Overview:

Responsible for performing all functions necessary to produce precast concrete products efficiently and safely under supervision. Work in a team environment to accomplish the required tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Stripping and cleaning forms
  • Assist with responsibilities such as finishing, patching, building cages and operating equipment and performing general maintenance.
  • Oiling forms.
  • Always maintains neat and orderly work areas.
  • Preparing and installing rebar or reinforcing wire.
  • Placement of appropriate inlets and outlets.
  • Pouring and finishing concrete in forms.
  • Ensuring tools and work areas are clean during the day and at the end of each shift.
  • Material movement such as carrying and replacing parts.
  • Finish product in a quality manner free of cracks and imperfections.
  • Other related duties as required.

Required Education and experience:

  • 1-Year Previous concrete experience preferred – not required.
  • Must Be able to follow instructions or repair steps according to QC processes

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds.
  • Respiratory Protection as required 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. OT will be required as needed. This position regularly requires weekend work.
