The Work That Matters

The Facility Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic keeps our equipment, vehicles, and shop machinery running smoothly through preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role exists to spot issues early, fix what’s broken, and help extend the life of the tools that support groundskeeping, wood manufacturing, and residential construction.

Key responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair on equipment, vehicles, and shop machines
- Diagnose maintenance problems and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Build, maintain, and follow preventative maintenance schedules
- Respond quickly to urgent repair needs and support operations as needed

Required skills/qualifications:
- Exceptional mechanical and technical aptitude; able to work solo or with a team
- Safety-minded, dependable, and ready to jump in when priorities shift

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by checking what’s on deck: a preventative schedule, a couple of repair requests, and whatever surprises the day decides to deliver. One moment you’re fine-tuning a piece of shop machinery; the next you’re troubleshooting a vehicle or helping keep gear ready for the groundskeeping, wood manufacturing, or residential construction teams.

Some days are steady and methodical; others are “drop everything, we need this running now.” Either way, you’ll wrap up by making sure equipment is safe to use, notes are up to date, and tomorrow’s to-do list won’t sneak up on anyone.

If you like hands-on problem solving and take pride in keeping things reliable, apply today.
