This role is responsible for delivering engaging technical training to customers and X-Rite teams through onsite, classroom, and virtual sessions while serving as a subject matter expert for assigned X-Rite products, markets, and applications. The position provides technical support across phone, email, and web-based channels, develops and maintains Knowledge Base resources, supports product testing and new product launches, and partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to resolve customer issues and support critical customer programs. Success in this role requires strong product knowledge, customer focus, effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to meeting established service and support performance goals.
In this role, a typical day will look like:Â
- Lead training sessions for Customers through various delivery methods, including onsite at customer locations, classroom settings, and virtually (e.g. Teams)
- Lead training sessions for X-Rite Support Teams, Product Application Specialists, and Regional X-Rite employees demonstrating and educating on the use of X-Rite products.
- Become the knowledge champion for specific X-Rite products, markets, and applications. This includes owning the Knowledge Base support information for these areas, as well as working directly with the product development teams for new or updated product releases.
- Provide efficient and effective customer phone, e-mail and web-based support within the X-Rite Technical Support environment. Combine personal industry and product knowledge with use of the X-Rite Knowledge Base and other resources to resolve customer issues. These include installation of software & hardware and related drivers, databases as well as other product related issues.
- Develop Knowledge Base information that may include but is not limited to FAQs, videos, slides, technical documents, competitive analysis, white papers, case studies, on-line tutorials, and printed brochures.
- Perform pre and post release testing on new product launches to insure that products meet specifications and customer VOC is communicated to product management and engineering. Â
- Provide assistance to Sales Directors and Field Sales Representatives regarding the creation and implementation of critical customer programs. Insure 100% customer follow-up and communication to Field Sales Representatives regarding issue resolution.
- Promote teamwork and positive interaction within and between teams and other departments. Â

The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college required; equivalent experience or technical training may be substituted.
- Five years’ experience in specific markets and applications. Experience with instruments and software similar to those X-Rite manufactures is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Proficiency in PC applications including Windows, application software, word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Proficiency in Macintosh OS and applications software.
- Ability to travel (60-80%) and maintain flexibility in working hours.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $88,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
