Position summary:
The Data Analyst serves as a key strategic partner to Sales Leadership, responsible for transforming complex business data into actionable insights while creating scalable, efficient business processes across the commercial organization.
This role goes beyond traditional reporting and analytics. The successful candidate will lead process improvement initiatives, identify automation opportunities, develop data-driven solutions, and implement tools that increase organizational efficiency. Acting as an extension of Sales Leadership, this individual will independently assess business challenges, create streamlined processes, leverage technology solutions, and drive adoption across cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is highly analytical, process-oriented, and possesses the technical aptitude to automate repetitive work through advanced Excel tools, database management, Power BI, SQL, Python, macros, and other business intelligence platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis
- Perform data mining, trend analysis, statistical analysis, and business forecasting.
- Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Support leadership decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, planning and capacity assessments
- Conduct business, customer, tariff, and market related analysis
- Business Process Improvement
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and efficiency gains.
- Design, document, implement, and maintain standardized business processes across commercial functions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives from concept through rollout.
- Partners with Sales, Finance, Program Management, Engineering, Capacity Management, Purchasing, and IT to improve workflows and data accuracy.
- Create process documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Drive adoption of new processes and tools across the organization.
- Manage and maintain large datasets supporting sales forecasting, customer demand, pricing, tariffs, market intelligence, and strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-level presentations.
- Automation & System Development
- · Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation.
- Develop tools utilizing advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA/macros, and other business applications.
- Collaborate with IT to implement scalable business system solutions.
- Create automated reporting solutions and data management tools.
- Improve data integrity and governance across commercial databases.
- Strategic Support
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives for commercial leadership
- Conduct business, customer, tariff, and market0related analysis.
- Serve as a trusted resource for solving complex operational and analytical challenges.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Education, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 – 3 years pf experience in analytics, operations, process improvement, process coordination, business administration, supply chain, sales support, or related business functions.
- Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, internships, co-op experience, and demonstrated analytical capabilities will be considered.
- Experience working with data, reporting, process improvement, or systems administration preferred.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus but not required.

- Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data analysis tools.
- Experience working with large datasets and maintaining data accuracy.

- Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, VBA, macros, or other automation tools preferred.
