Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install electrical circuits, conduits, and boxes for AV and communications systems; safely integrate power solutions for displays, AV hardware, and networking equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work meets NEC, local building codes, and safety standards.
- Pull, label, and dress low-voltage cables according to recognized best practices.
- Test and certify cabling to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Install and mount commercial displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, microphones, and other AV hardware. Perform light construction tasks using hand or power tools such as TV mounting, wall blocking, etc.
- Assemble and dress equipment racks to professional standards.
- Assist with system configuration and basic troubleshooting.
- Interact with clients on-site with clarity, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely mount displays and hardware.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools for AV installations.
- Ability to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation guides.
- Commitment to producing safe, clean, high-quality projects.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry equipment more than 50+ lbs. and work at heights using ladders or lifts.
- Continue to grow and develop technical proficiency.
- Knowledge of NEC and low-voltage best practices.
- Experience with commercial AV systems/installation or prior low-voltage cabling.
- Familiarity with lifts, ladders, basic tools and safe work procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience in electrical, communications cabling, AV installation, or a related trade.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (no DUI’s in the past 5 years).
- Ability to travel to job sites and occasionally work evenings/weekends as required.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license, preferred.
- Avixa Certification or ability to obtain, preferred.
- OSHA certification or ability to obtain, preferred.
