Entry Level Healthcare - Sterile Processing Technician

The Staff Pad has partnered with a health care organization that specializes in providing non-clinical surgical services for minimally invasive surgical procedures to hospitals throughout the US.  We are looking customer service-oriented individuals who would love to continue a career in Healthcare and truly make a difference!

CRCST Certification/Experience is preferred but not required. 


Schedule & Compensation:

* (Shift Hours vary), Full-time

* Call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays for emergency surgery [light call])

* $19-23 hourly, depending on experience. 

* Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Sick Time, Paid Holidays, 4% match on 401k

Requirements:

* COVID Vaccination

* High school diploma/GED required. Some college preferred.

* Previous Experience: one year OR experience preferred Or No Healthcare Care Experience with a background of 2-5 years face to face customer service experience

* Outstanding customer service skills, ability to build and maintain strong rapport with hospital teams

* Availability for 24/7 hospital coverage including weekday, weekend, and holiday rotational scheduled and on-call shifts





Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities In Operating Room:
* Models a high standard of performance to staff and peers
* Understands procedures being performed and anticipate the needs of surgeons, while ensuring a high level of service to staff during the operative procedure
* Ensures the maintenance of the sterile field
* Demonstrates a high caliber of skill in pre-operative setup, intra-operative technical and customer support, post-operative turnover, and equipment maintenance and repair management Maintains high standards for decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
* At the end of each day, make sure no instruments are left to be decontaminated, inspected, assembled, wrapped and/ or sterilized.
* Maintains all laparoscopic equipment and replaces as needed, process repairs for instruments and scopes
* Maintains current preference cards for surgeons Maintains a professional level of service, behavior, and communication with team members, hospital, and OR staff
