Job Description: Custom Fabricator

Role Expectations and Responsibilities:

In order to be a successful fit for this position you must:

  • Work proficiently with basic mechanical tools such as hammers, drills, & saws
  • Have experience in a manufacturing or similar environment (general trades, construction, etc.) in the past year
  • Be able to periodically lift/ move up to 60lbs. with assistance, for up to 4 or more hours a day (depends on the day)
  • Work with a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Have intermediate level math skills (fractions, decimals, reading a tape measure, etc.)
  • Be a coachable team player with high personal motivation
  • Have a willingness to learn, develop, and grow

General Responsibilities: 

  • General assembly
  • Customizing or repairing bins and other products by cutting, plastic welding, and fabricating to customer specifications while maintaining high levels of quality control
  • Work with hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, rivet guns, oscillating tools, routers, & drills
  • Work with machinery such as table saws, miter saws, drill presses
  • Load and unload robot and hot plate welder machines
  • Perform basic plastic hand-welding activities
  • Understands and works within safety regulations, laws and policies
  • Housekeeping and organization of work area
  • Understands and follows departmental procedures
  • Ensures compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and procedures
  • Assist with cycle-counting and inventory activities
  • Notifies appropriate party of inventory discrepancies
  • Participate and support continuous improvement goals and activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • HSD or GED

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience: 

  • Plastic welding experience: however, welding experience not necessary, on the job training will be provided
  • Forklift license
