Job Description: Custom Fabricator
Role Expectations and Responsibilities:
In order to be a successful fit for this position you must:
- Work proficiently with basic mechanical tools such as hammers, drills, & saws
- Have experience in a manufacturing or similar environment (general trades, construction, etc.) in the past year
- Be able to periodically lift/ move up to 60lbs. with assistance, for up to 4 or more hours a day (depends on the day)
- Work with a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Have intermediate level math skills (fractions, decimals, reading a tape measure, etc.)
- Be a coachable team player with high personal motivation
- Have a willingness to learn, develop, and grow
General Responsibilities:Â
- General assembly
- Customizing or repairing bins and other products by cutting, plastic welding, and fabricating to customer specifications while maintaining high levels of quality control
- Work with hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, rivet guns, oscillating tools, routers, & drills
- Work with machinery such as table saws, miter saws, drill presses
- Load and unload robot and hot plate welder machines
- Perform basic plastic hand-welding activities
- Understands and works within safety regulations, laws and policies
- Housekeeping and organization of work area
- Understands and follows departmental procedures
- Ensures compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and procedures
- Assist with cycle-counting and inventory activities
- Notifies appropriate party of inventory discrepancies
- Participate and support continuous improvement goals and activities
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience:
- HSD or GED
Preferred Education, Skills, and Experience:Â
- Plastic welding experience: however, welding experience not necessary, on the job training will be provided
- Forklift license
