What you will get to do:
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customers’ production machinery on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and proper operation of the equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control issues when machines fail or perform poorly and carry out repairs or adjustments on-site.
  • Act as a technical representative of this company's machinery brands, helping reinforce long-term customer relationships.
  • Spend most of the time traveling to customer sites to support across the Great Lakes Region. 


What will make you successful:
  • Strong interest in problem-solving; typical days can be long and stressful, and you must enjoy tracking down and fixing tough issues.
  • Willingness and ability to spend roughly 4 out of 5 days on the road traveling around the Great Lakes region. 
  • Two years of electronic technical schooling or equivalent hands‑on experience in a related technical field.
  • Associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical technology is preferred and will help with more complex diagnostics.
  • Completion of a field service training program, or prior experience with N/C or P/C equipment service, maintenance, or machine operation.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, since travel is central to the job.
  • High adaptability to changing priorities, schedules, and customer needs, often with short notice.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to explain issues, document service, and work directly with customers.
  • Self‑starter mindset and strong self‑reliance, able to work with minimal supervision and manage time and tasks independently.
  • Comfortable contributing to a fun and positive team culture, bringing a good attitude to customers’ shops, and representing a friendly, relationship‑focused approach.
