Description

This 12–16 week paid internship, running May through August/September, offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Intern to gain meaningful, hands-on experience within our three-person HR team. We are seeking a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field who is eager to apply classroom knowledge in real-world HR settings.


What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver service to our team members that is in alignment with WMCU’s mission, vision, and core values
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, rĂ©sumĂ© review, and conducting phone screenings 
  • Sit in on interviews and observe interview best practices
  • Support new-hire onboarding and orientation activities 
  • Help maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation 
  • Assist with employee engagement programs and team member events 
  • Participate in HR projects such as process improvements and policy reviews 
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team
  • May involve occasional travel to any of our WMCU locations using the company vehicle

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information responsibly 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in HR
  • Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/job location(s) and a valid driver’s license
