This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY
Fullfill the daily operations of the restaurant including guest service, bartending, table service and side work. Providing a fun yet professional environment by engaging all guests of the bar. Follow the expectations of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel including, following AHC guest service standards. Create a team work environment in the restaurant and produce quality service to each guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Bartending services includes the proper set up of all garnishes, alcohol, wines
- Maintain daily setup/breakdown of the bar area
- Reports to work on time and rarely misses schedule shifts. Correctly follow the departments attendance policy.
- Participates in department meetings and communicates freely, expressing ideas, opinions and views. Communicates with management and other staff members.
- Display a positive, courteous and polite attitude, works well with others
- Takes pride in their appearance and reports to work in their complete uniform, wearing the proper shoes and socks professionally dressed and neatly groomed.
- Displays a sense of urgency and the ability and the ability to solve guests concerns or department issues on their own.
- Utilize time well and is productive throughout the entire shift while meeting department standards.
- Looks for ways to save money while reducing and controlling expenses. Also tries to generate more revenues by offering ideas and suggestive selling to the guests whenever possible.
- Keeps work area neat and clean. Picking up trash in public and back of the house areas of the Hotel. Knows where to recycle items for the department and consistently places them in the appropriate bins and recycle stations.
- Follow AHC safety standards for our hotel.
- Associate to attend TIPS training and properly card guests who appear under 40 years of age.
- Daily set up of the bar.
- Communicating with all staff daily drink specials.
- Participate in the nightly ordering of alcohol and wines
- Participating in month end inventories with the accounting department.
- Communication with restaurant managers any special needs for the bar.
- Actively taking care of each guest according to AHC guest service standards and departmental standards.
- Monitor food and alcohol waste.
- Maintain restaurant cleanliness and overall deep cleaning of the bar area.
- Be aware of the events in the area. Be able to give suggestions to our guests.
- Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by the General Manager or Food and Beverage Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Communicate with your management or team member
- Follow our hotel green policy
- Have full alcohol knowledge and knowledge of ingredients
- Follow and maintain Health Department Specs. Fill out daily temp logs, rotate products first in first out and record/dispose of expired product on the waste log
- Know each menu item and its ingredients. Know what happy hour and other specials are.
- Complete daily cleaning duties and side work tasks, takes pride in their work
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have previous bartending experience
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Related experience and training is preferred
- Safe Alcohol Serving Certification is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of the job the associate:
- Is regularly required to walk and stand, up to 8 hours
- Is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
- Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms
- Is regularly required to talk or hear, taste or smell
- Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must occasionally lift/and or move up to 40 lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision and peripheral vision
