Pay Rate: Range $2520 to $2664 weekly Gross pay based on a 48-hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit:Â Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s
Shifts available: Afternoons, NightsÂ
Schedule: Evenings, 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 x 8-hr shifts per week, Every other weekend | 48 hrs/week  - availableÂ
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
- Recent/Current IPsychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health experience: 2 years – Required
- Pediatric experience - Required ​
- Prior travel experience - Preferred
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- RN License for State of MI - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects of BH nursing for patients in the assigned units
- Assesses person’s served care needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassesses plan of care according to person’s served care needs.
- In collaboration with the physician, provides/coordinates nursing care to individuals and groups of person’s served.
- Assists in the teaching of persons’ served families, and provides milieu management.
- Communicates with and educates persons’ served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning needs.
- Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings.
- Responsible for documenting, reporting, and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
- Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any potential risk to person’s served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome.
- Functions as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
- May be responsible in training direct care staff.
- Performs other duties or functions as assigned.
- May function as a charge nurse.
