Your Impact

As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you'll help care for properties that serve our community while developing valuable outdoor maintenance skills. Every day, your work contributes to safe, attractive, and functional spaces that people rely on.

Key responsibilities
- Perform routine groundskeeping: mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, and site cleanup
- Operate and maintain basic grounds equipment and hand/power tools
- Complete seasonal tasks such as leaf cleanup, storm debris removal, and snow/ice removal
- Follow established procedures and directions; communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers

Required qualifications/skills
- 1–3 years of groundskeeping/landscaping/outdoor maintenance or manual labor preferred
- Able to work outdoors in all weather; lift/carry up to ~50 lbs and perform sustained physical activity
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance

 

A Day Outdoors

Your day starts by reviewing priorities and preparing for the work ahead. Depending on the season, you may be mowing, trimming, planting, cleaning up leaves, removing snow, or clearing storm debris. Throughout the day, you'll help keep outdoor spaces safe, clean, and well maintained while working alongside your team. Before wrapping up, you'll clean and store equipment, note any needed supplies, and help ensure everything is ready for the next day.
