About the Role:
The Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift Paint department plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the production line. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the production team, ensuring that all processes are executed according to safety and quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate with various departments to optimize workflow and resolve any issues that may arise during production. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and productivity. Ultimately, the goal is to meet production targets while maintaining a safe and positive work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with paint production processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team during the 2nd shift.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train and develop team members on equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as shipping and receiving, to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Skills:
Additionally, the ability to work overtime may be necessary during peak production periods, ensuring that all deadlines are met. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, will be beneficial in identifying areas for process improvement and enhancing overall productivity.
Operations Schedule is 2:40 pm. - 11:00. Some overtime may be required.
