Job Description:
The Sanitation Supervisor supports all aspects of the Sanitation and Food Safety programs as directed by the plant manager. The Supervisor provides leadership and ensures effective implementation of cleaning and sanitation programs.
Key Essential Functions/Duties:
- Support all elements of food safety while documenting and reporting concerns
- Assist in tasking the master cleaning schedule and ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure proper storage, label and use of chemicals and cleaners
- Investigate sanitation issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze staff performance metrics and trends.
- Support training and development of staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and safety
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with food related sanitation systems management
- At least 1 year of leadership experience (preferably in sanitation environment)
- Knowledge of allergen and microbiological contamination
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement concepts
Preferred Attributes:
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving
