Overview

The Senior Analyst, Retailer & Pricing Analytics is a key contributor within BISSELL’s Go To Market Analytics (GTMA) Center of Excellence, supporting retailer teams and cross-functional business partners through the development of actionable insights that inform BISSELL’s go-to-market strategy. This role leverages internal and external data sources to build analytical frameworks, reporting solutions, and business recommendations that support category growth, retailer development, and portfolio profitability.

 

This individual will analyze market, shopper, retailer, and financial data to develop insights that support revenue growth management initiatives and retailer planning efforts. The role will create and maintain analyses related to assortment optimization, pricing, promotion effectiveness, SKU rationalization, incrementality opportunities, and retailer-specific programs across in-store, eCommerce, and Direct-to-Consumer channels.

 

The Senior Analyst will support the development of standardized reporting processes and analytical tools while creating compelling, data-driven business stories that help teams make informed decisions. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze category, shopper, and retailer trends to identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and improved business performance.
  • Develop data-driven retailer and category insights that support assortment recommendations, innovation launches, and retailer planning discussions.
  • Build analyses that evaluate shopper behavior and omni-channel purchasing trends to enhance the consumer shopping experience.
  • Support Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives by developing pricing, promotion, and assortment analyses across the portfolio.
  • Create analytical models and business cases that quantify pricing opportunities, promotional effectiveness, and revenue growth potential.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance SKU rationalization and assortment optimization tools to support evolving channel strategies.
  • Conduct elasticity, competitive pricing, average price index, and promotional analyses to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build, automate, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions that track key retailer and business performance metrics.
  • Develop measurement frameworks using multiple data sources to evaluate strategic initiatives and commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy across recurring analyses and business reviews.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to deliver insights that support business planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating new data sources, analytical tools, and methodologies that enhance reporting capabilities and business understanding.
  • Create presentations and business stories that communicate findings, opportunities, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Degree minimum:  Bachelor’s degree
  • Specific concentration:  Business Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analytics, Consumer Research, or related disciplines.
  • Experience level:  4+ years of experience in Retail Analytics, Category Management, Revenue Growth Management, Consumer Insights, Business Analytics, or related analytical functions. Experience analyzing retailer, consumer, and syndicated data sources. Experience working with retailer data platforms and market measurement tools. Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, Domo, or similar visualization tools.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within large and complex datasets.
  • Experience building and maintaining analytical models, dashboards, and measurement frameworks.
  • Strong data visualization and reporting skills.
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling capabilities.
