Utility Supervisor

Creative Dining is hiring immediately for a full-time Utility Supervisor. 

Location: 3201 Burton St SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546

Schedule: Full-time schedule. More information upon interview. 

Requirement: 1-2 years of supervisory or utility experience preferred. 

Pay Range: $19 - $22

Job Summary 

The Utility Supervisor oversees and participates in the cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of food service and facility areas to ensure a safe and high-quality environment for both guests and staff. This is a working supervisor position that includes hands-on cleaning responsibilities along with staff supervision. 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities 

• Train and supervise utility team members.
• Participate in hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide instruction and leadership while keeping management informed of operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, coolers, work tables, and restrooms.
• Clean dish room and ensure all kitchen equipment and wares are sanitized and safe for use.
• Organize janitor’s closet and maintain cleanliness of employee entrances, loading docks, and landscaping areas.
• Monitor and refill cleaning supply stations.
• Ensure trash is regularly emptied and receptacles are clean.
• Keep receiving and dock areas clean and organized.
• Notify management of faulty equipment and assist in tracking maintenance and cleaning logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands/Work Environment 

Requires lifting up to 25 lbs and performing physical cleaning tasks in varied environments, including hot, cold, or humid conditions. Involves standing, walking, bending, and handling cleaning chemicals and supplies. May work around wet floors and loud noise levels.
