Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids, Michigan is currently accepting applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor position in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to support the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program. This is an exciting opportunity for innovative and motivated individuals who are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and committed to evidence-based practice, working collaboratively with a team of dynamic faculty members.

Required Qualifications and Education:

· Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in audiology or a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.); all-but-dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered.

· Area of expertise is flexible ASHA certification in Audiology

· Evidence of effective teaching

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Demonstrated record and/or potential for active scholarship

· Commitment to inclusion, equity, and diversity

Preferred Qualifications:

· Medical audiology and/or vestibular and balance background

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:

· Teach in the Doctor of Audiology program and undergraduate pre-professional academic program.

· Provide clinical supervision in on-campus clinic

· Develop a scholarly agenda that is consistent with unit and college expectations

· Advise/mentor students

· Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and the profession.

Salary: $102,000 and commensurate with experience
